Kent Bellows Studio & Center for the Visual Arts, designed by RBA, was published in Interior Design magazine, August 2010. Kent Bellows (June 26, 1949 – September 14, 2005) produced works that captivated the attention of art aficionados and sold to collectors from coast to coast. After his death, Kent’s studio space and building were transformed to serve as a catalyst for creative thought and mentoring for young artists in the Omaha metropolitan area. To reduce the cost of construction, RBA WORKSHOP paid student design/build program constructed the design.
This project was very inspiring mainly due to the kind hearts of his Kent’s sisters, the Center’s Director, Anne Meysenburg, and Kent’s work and studio itself. Many students and RBA employees spent countless hours on this project. A huge thank you to them all!
